Malinga to be the bowling mentor of Mumbai Indians

The well talked pace bowler, Malinga didn’t appear in any of the squad list for this season’s IPL 2018 Betting Tips, and however, something even better is coming up. The Sri Lanka pace man, Lasith Malinga, even though didn’t find any absorbents during the 2018 IPL auction, but has been pulled in by his former franchise, the Mumbai Indians (MI) to be the bowling mentor of their team.
Apart from the first season, Malinga has always been the part of this team for all the earlier editions of IPL. He has been the face of Mumbai Indian’s bowling attack for almost all the campaigns, well endeared by his fans at the Wankhede stadium.
Malinga pleased with the appointment decision shared his mind, “It’s a great opportunity to continue my association with Mumbai Indians. Mumbai has been my home away from home for the last decade. As a player, I have enjoyed the journey with Mumbai Indians and now as mentor, I look forward to the new chapter”.

‘Slinga Malinga,’ as being popularly referred, currently holds the leading wicket-taker record in IPL’s history with a totalling score of taking 154 wickets from 110 matches, he played. He is right now 20 wickets more than the next best total of Amit Mishra. During the 2011 IPL, he won the purple cap and has been a pivotal player in all three IPL finals, won by the Mumbai Indians.

It was mainly due to his deteriorating health and fitness approaching the age of 34, Malinga hasn’t been at the same pace. This is why he has been making sporadic appearances, playing for Sri Lanka.
Malinga’s inclusion in the support staff list will prove beneficial for the young bowlers, participating in this season’s IPL Free Cricket Betting Tips. Earlier, Jasprit Bumrah already stated about the beneficial talks with his amazing bowling veteran that helped him play better and improve, consistently.

MI’s co-owner, Akash Ambani agreeing to the same, said, “Mumbai Indians have a proven record of scouting and bringing forth the young talents at the national stage. It will be a boon for these youngsters as well the established ones to have the combined force of Shane Bond and Lasith Malinga to back them.”

Malinga is set to be a part of an amazing star-studded support staff, including- Mahela Jayawardene (head coach), Shane Bond (bowling coach), Robin Singh (batting coach) and James Pemment (fielding coach).
